Wraith Signs New Fighters And Old

It has been a busy week for local Promoter and Manager Steve Wraith who has signed local light heavyweight Lawrence Osueke and returning former Northern Area Lightweight Title Holder John Green who is based in Darlington. ” I am delighted to add both lads to my growing stable. Both fighters want to keep busy and with me linking up full time with Phil Jeffries that is not going to be an issue. “Many folk in the boxing world have always been under the impression that there was an intense rivalry between the two local promoters but Wraith insists that was never the case. ” Phil gave me a chance in the boxing world and I took it with both hands. I had to find my feet on my own and I have done just that, but the time has come, for the good of boxing in the North East for us to join forces and work together full time and that is really good news for all North East fighters.”

Wraith also played his part in last mon the big event at the Metro Radio Arena which saw Lewis Ritson and Josh Kelly impress in front of their home fans. ” It was a delight to work with Eddie Hearn and Matchroom Boxing once again and Eddie was delighted with how far we have all come up here in a short space of time. It my job and Phils to now build on this success and start the conveyor belt and find more exciting new talent to nurture and grow and deliver to the nation via Eddie and his great team”

Wraith continues to bring the big names to the area for after dinner speaking events which I am always delighted to be involved in and November 2nd sees me team up with Ricky Hatton at the Lancastrian Suite in Dunston. Tickets are flying out on Group On and can also be picked up at www.newcastlelegends.com
